In the beginning

We began working with Erik Averill and the team at AWM Capital, the athlete family office, in August 2024 to revamp their brand, website, podcast, and social operations for their elite pro athlete client base. While they had produced several podcasts across different channels, they needed a way to integrate and leverage the content from these podcasts, which required a new content management system (CMS) and social media operation.

The solution

We began by refining the existing brand styles to create more cohesion across AWM’s sub-brands, including podcasts and individual team members’ platforms.

We then built a sophisticated Webflow website that functions as a relational database, connecting dozens of services, team members with their unique expertise, multiple podcasts, a YouTube channel, and various other content formats.

Webflow’s CMS capabilities make it vastly superior for content marketing operations in several ways:

  • Dynamic content relationships: Content pieces can be automatically linked and cross-referenced, making it easy to connect related podcast episodes, blog posts, and team member profiles.

  • Custom content structures: The platform allows for creation of sophisticated content models and taxonomies, enabling better organization of different podcast series, topics, and formats.

  • Advanced filtering and search: Users can easily discover relevant content through multiple filter parameters, improving the discovery of specific podcast episodes or related materials.

  • Robust API integration: Webflow’s comprehensive API capabilities enable seamless integration with podcast hosting platforms, analytics tools, and other marketing systems.

  • Automated content updates: When information changes in one place, it automatically updates everywhere it’s referenced, ensuring consistency across the platform.

These features combine to create a more efficient, scalable, and user-friendly CMS that’s particularly well-suited for podcast and multimedia content distribution.

This new integrated platform streamlined all marketing efforts into a single production system, significantly reducing the team’s administrative workload.

The results

Over the course of 8 months, the AWM Capital team achieved remarkable progress through a comprehensive digital transformation initiative. The team successfully executed a complete brand refresh, developed and launched a sophisticated website with advanced functionality, and strategically re-launched their podcast offerings with improved production value and content strategy.
